"We have found that small mom and pop motels are usually better than chain hotels. In this case, we were right. Nice owners, friendly and accomodating. Clean place as well. Very comfortable staying there and would so so again."

"We flew in and stayed at this motel over the weekend; no great expectations, just needed a room for the night. The motel is older but surprisingly it was very charming. The person at the front was gracious and kind. You can tell there has been a lot of effort to revive this place and give it a face lift. When we got the "old fashioned" key to our room we were "SHOCKED" when we opened the door. The room was very modern, beautifully decorated and unbelievably clean; crisp sheets, soft blankets and fluffy comforters made for a wonderful nights sleep. We also appreciated the refrigerator and coffee maker in our room.

This motel probably dates back to the sixties (60's), but you can tell they have gone to great lengths to make a person's stay enjoyable-all the way down to the little mints and thank you cards by the pillows. It's certainly not the Four Seasons and we usually prefer 4 or 5 star hotels, but I would say as far as "inns", "lodges" or "motels" go this one is pretty amazing. Would we stay again? ABSOLUTELY!! Thank you guys for a great weekend stay. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our St. Albans stay this summer for a few days. The Cadillac Motel has made many upgrades, but it is naturally in keeping with the simplicity of the area. We enjoyed a clean and cooled room when we arrived. Incredible shower. Microwave and fridge very convenient for the traveler. Convenient parking. Wi-Fi, and many TV channels, coffeemaker. Plenty of available ice always and a friendly staff and very capable manager Sondra. I have been coming here for years and never been disappointed . As an international flight attendant for a prestige carrier, I applaud the changes but still look forward to getting away to somewhere country like within the area and keep my expectations in accordance with the age of the establishment. Serving the St. Albans area for many years, proudly. Three miles from Kill Kare State Park, which has wonderful swimming, access to Burtons Island ., kayaking, fishing, and lovely serenity with many improvements made to main facility. I will return and recommend. "

"I had a need to stay recently. Not only was the staff accomodating to my needs, the manager Sandra was over the top nice! It was obvious to me that the owners had put a lot of money in to the rooms recently, they were very modern and clean. The bathroom in my room was brand new and had granite counter tops! I was very happy with the entire stay and visit. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that has short or long term needs to visit the motel."

"An unexpected delight - we loved this place. On a dark stretch of Interstate 89 in northern Vermont (exit 19), we had to stop for the night. The Cadillac Motel is set back from the road a short drive from the freeway. The kids don't like motels but they were all smiles when they opened the door to our room - cozy and beautifully appointed with comfy beds dressed in fluffy duvets, soft blankets and good white sheets, granite-topped dark wood furniture, a bright new bathroom (and a flat screen tv - not tested). The new owners are renovating one room at a time to a very high standard. Charming hosts and decent coffee free in the morning."

"I have stayed at the Cadillac Motel before and swore I would never stay there again. However, they were the only available room for the night. Reluctantly, I accepted the key and was pleasantly surprised to find what a difference than last year. Evidently, the motel has been taken over by new management because; 1) the rooms were CLEAN!!! 2) there was new carpet; 3) the bathroom had a granite counter top and was NICE; 3) the furniture had granite tops and was brand new; 4) down comforters and fluffy pillows; my list could go on. I felt like I was at the Fairfield Inn. The outside is deceiving but once you get inside the door it's all different and the rate was only $79.00 for the night. This will be my motel of choice whenever I come back to VT."

"As a member of the bass addicts of Brockton mass we have had our club two day tournament at lake Champlain for the last three years and are returning there this July again our exp. at this hotel has been a good one all our needs were meet the staff were pleasant the room are clean and were ready upon arrival the accommodations for our boats were met, any thing we needed was supplied and that is why we as a club continue to reserve this facility each year .
